Terms of Use

1.Purpose & acceptance

These terms govern the use of the Lumelle application, published by Arnaud Gheysen (“we”, “us”). By using Lumelle, you acknowledge that you have read and accepted them. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

2.The service

Lumelle lets you transform your photos using artificial intelligence by choosing from a catalog of styles. The result is an image generated automatically from the photo you provide. The service may evolve over time (styles and features may be added, changed, or removed).

3.Access & account

Lumelle creates a technical account for you so your creations can be linked to your device. You are responsible for how it is used from your device. The app requires a compatible device and an internet connection. You must be at least 13 years old to use Lumelle.

4.Lumelle subscription

Full access to Lumelle is provided through an auto-renewing subscription, which may be preceded by a free trial. The available plans are:

• Weekly — €5.99 / week, with a 3-day free trial;
• Monthly — €12.99 / month;
• Yearly — €49.99 / year.

Prices include all applicable taxes; the actual price displayed in the app and on the App Store, in your currency, prevails and may vary by region.

Billing & renewal

• Payment is charged to your Apple account when the purchase is confirmed.
• If you have a free trial and do not cancel at least 24 hours before it ends, the paid subscription starts automatically and you are charged.
• The subscription renews automatically at the same price unless you turn it off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
• Any unused portion of a free trial, where offered, is forfeited when you purchase a subscription.

Managing or canceling

You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time in your device's Settings → your Apple account → Subscriptions. Subscription management and any refunds are governed by Apple's App Store rules. Use through the App Store is also subject to Apple's standard End User License Agreement (EULA).

5.Acceptable use

By using Lumelle, you agree to:

• Only transform photos you hold the rights to. Do not upload a photo of another person without their consent.
• Not create content that is illegal, hateful, defamatory, or sexually explicit, or that involves minors in an inappropriate way.
• Not produce deceptive manipulations (“deepfakes”) intended to impersonate someone else, mislead, harass, or cause harm.
• Not attempt to circumvent, copy, or misuse the operation of the service.

Lumelle may apply moderation measures and suspend access in the event of a breach.

6.Content generated by artificial intelligence

Images are generated automatically by AI. Results are inherently unpredictable: we guarantee neither an exact likeness nor an output that matches your expectations. Generated content carries a visible “AI” label. You agree not to present generated content as authentic in a misleading way.

7.Intellectual property

The application, its design, its styles, its generation recipes, and the Lumelle brand remain our exclusive property. Your photos remain yours; you grant us only the limited license needed to provide the service (processing and temporarily storing your images).

To the extent permitted by law and subject to third-party rights, you may use the creations you generate, including for personal purposes. You remain responsible for how you use them.

8.Service availability

We do our best to keep Lumelle available, without guaranteeing continuous, error-free operation. We may suspend, modify, or discontinue all or part of the service, in particular for maintenance or technical reasons.

9.Limitation of liability

The service is provided “as is”. To the extent permitted by law, we cannot be held liable for indirect damages resulting from the use of the application, or for the content you choose to generate or share. Nothing in these terms limits your legal liability as a consumer where it applies.

10.Termination

You may stop using Lumelle at any time and delete your account from the app (Profile → Delete my account). We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these terms.

11.Personal data

How we process your data, including your face photos, is described in our Privacy Policy, which forms an integral part of these terms.

12.Governing law & disputes

These terms are governed by French law, without prejudice to any mandatory public-policy protections applicable in your EU country of residence. In the event of a dispute, you may use a consumer mediation scheme or the European Online Dispute Resolution platform.

13.Changes to these terms

We may change these terms. If we make a significant change, we will let you know in the app. Continuing to use the service after an update means you accept the new version.
